Tater
Hi, I've been running a dedicated server for some time time now and have had some random booting and server lock-up errors. I put DX9 on the server and on 2 of the 4 puters playing and had no problems so far. If you choose to get it (I believe it's not beta anymore) make sure you have latest Vid card drivers and read the FAQ's before installing. No probs here yet and I've tried it with N2002 also with no probs. Maybe with the 1.4 patch, DX9 might be more stable if installed on the server. Hope this helps. Give it a try. SOTOMac
Personally - I'm lovin' DirectX 9.0 Its made a lot of things better especially "GR". With that and an Update of My ATI Radeon 8500LE 64DDR Drivers - Things are just SMOKIN'. Regards,
NightCrawler
I've been using it since the day after it's release and have had no problems.
Killa_N_Manila
I haven't seen a major difference in any of my games, but I've not experienced any problems either. I'll have to wait to see the next gen of games using the technology, and then I'll see what DX9 can really do.
snakebite1967
ive been using dx9 and i do like it alot but i feel we were conned by microsoft when i first posted the link to the end user release i didnt realise that it was still a beta ive since looked around a few forums and ms home site and yes dx9 is a beta that will self destruct in march 2003, that said i still love it de4finitly a good step up seems to add stability and smoothness to most games and older games ive seen a slight fps increase
NightCrawler
dx9 is a beta that will self destruct in march So what kind of havoc will this cause to my system, or will the final be ready by then? From what I've read in the old forums going backward is a B!@tch.
Tater
I remember checking a while ago, and it said it was beta. But since just downloading it from the Microsoft site nowhere did it say Beta. I hope to hell it isn't.

oo6man
will it work with my geforce 3 ti 200 graphics card??
ShadowViper
It'll work with anything...it's what Windows uses to run games. Without DirectX pretty much anything but a DOS game won't run.
