en4rcment
Here's a query... As stated before, I love the SPR... However, it has failed me on many occasions at close range. When I'm moving about, I usually like to use the over-the-shoulder view, but if an enemy pops out infront of me and I put the icon on him and fire (with the SPR) I don't hit anything. I did some experimenting around, and was more accurate (although not super accurate) controlling my soldier in first person view and firing at close range. If there is time to bring up the scope (look through it), then I'm super accurate (I could probably castrate a mosquito at 300 meters ). Does anyone know why this is? Is this specific to the SPR because it is a longer-range weapon, because I'm pretty sure I can hit targets fine with m-16's and m4's in the aforementioned examples. Sart
The ret is off, it was off as well in OFP. To me the rounds seem to go below and to the right of the ret.
2nd Ranger
That's right, like that time I was aiming above and to the left of your head.

en4rcment
No no, on all weapons. ← maybe this is purposely done to give a real world advantage to people who aim with their sights instead of using the counterstrike shoot from the hip method? WP33
Too bad there's no finger on the tip of the nose icon. Sounds about right to me. Yes, I've nailed guys at point blank in "panic shots", but at times I've had to walk the fire into the enemy in those cases because of the reticle being off as you've noticed. I like it that way, well, except for those nasty surprises that pop up over hills and around corners.
AUS_Viper
maybe this is purposely done to give a real world advantage to people who aim with their sights instead of using the counterstrike shoot from the hip method? Thats why fingers rest on W.A.D. keys, but the thumb sits on V
SnowFella
Oh if I had a $1 for every time that darn thumb has hit the B button instead of V I must be the laughing stock of the AI...corner them in a tight spot and brings up the binos instead of the sights

Zebb
Thats why i use my middle mouse key for sights, and go to pistol if i think the enemy is that close ....
SnowFella
It must be mate....as the last thing I usually see though the binos is a big grin on the OPFOR's face...then a blinding while muzzleflash!
