WytchDokta 6
Before installing the new nVidia 71.89 Dets for my 6800 GT, should I first remove the old drivers? Or should I just install them over the top of the old ones? I want to avoid any graphical issues etc.
supasniper 0
totally clean the old out, go into controll pannel > add/remove programs > find your current drivers > uninstall them though before doind this you might want to go to guru3d and find a driver cleaner and after the above steps run it to make sure there are no traces of the old ones left kicking about
KRP 56 92
Driver Installation Hints "Download Accelerator" utilities should be disabled when downloading any drivers. Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing the drivers. This prevents the driver from configuring itself properly. Before installing new drivers make sure you uninstall all NVIDIA display drivers from the Windows Control Panel. Browse to the Start Menu > Windows Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and search for "NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers" or "NVIDIA Display Drivers" and select remove.
