Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival

Recommended Posts

Not sure what the criteria is to attend, but it's certainly worth a trip, and Edinburgh's a great city.

Sony and Nintendo have already confirmed their attendance at this year’s Edinburgh Interactive Entertainment Festival, as the event receives a significant rebirth to include the wider spectrum of the entertainment industry.

Formerly known as the Edinburgh International Games Festival, the event intends to showcase the evolution, convergence and impact of interactive entertainment on popular culture and to encourage debate on the future vision of the industry.

“It is an opportunity for the industry to present innovative new developments, challenge preconceptions and look further than next year’s slate,” said Future boss Greg Ingham, returning as chair of the EIEF this year.

“It’s the only international forum that celebrates the cultural impact of the games industry. It’s vital for this industry’s overall development to recognise our diversity, challenge preconceptions and debate the future of the interactive entertainment industry,” added Ingham.

The event takes place all under one roof at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from August 10th–14th and features industry debate and consumer events, as well as game screenings.

I'm sure there are ways around it and you've got plenty of time to think of a cunning plan  . It might be worth asking contacts, even via ZJJ. Tell 'em you'll take your own sarnies :D
