Buck50 0
I have a map with 1 outdoor room (_01) and two levels. Level 1.0 is the map floor (ground) and level 2.0 is the roof of a building. Everything works as it should and the characters and actors can traverse both levels without any problem. The problem lies in the fact that though Igor recognizes that there are two levels; it shows Level 1.0 as including Level 2.0 and shows Level 2.0 as being empty. I assume that this is due to Level 1.0 overlapping with Level 2.0. If I lower Level 1.0 to below Level 2.0 Igor will show Level 2.0 correctly, but then the characters and actors are then not able to traverse the higher parts of Level 1.0. From what I have read in the Level Builder pdf and various tutorials it is OK to have the overlap. But what I can’t find out is how to make Level 2.0 show up correctly in Igor. Can anyone shed some light on this?
deleyt 0
You've got your shermanlevelboxes wrong. A shermanlevelbox can only contain floors of one level, not two or more. Your picture should look like this: Mind you: make sure to set the planninglevels according to the shermanlevels or you'll get yourself mixed up in IGOR to which floor is where. Buck50 0
One question - do you create a ShemanLevel01_1.0 and a ShemanLevel01_1.1?
cobaka 0
No, if you want 2 shermanlevel boxes for the first floor like D shows, then they should have EXACTLY the same name. The level 2 shermanlevel boxes would also have the same name -e.g. 01_shermanlevel2.
Buck50 0
Got it! Thanks.
cobaka 0
Oh, just to stress some things I always forget and always mess me up, don't forget to tag the levels to the shermanlevel boxes in the map editor, and make sure your floor polygons are completely enclosed in one of the shermanlevel boxes (i.e. if half the polygon is in one shermanlevel and half the polygon is in another shermanlevel box, it won't be recognized as a floor).
