Zoog 3
I have been playing ghost recon single player for a long time but recently i started playing multiplayer games. So i'm really a noob when it comes down to servers, creating your server etc. I have been running a Raven Shield server for the last 10 months but this ghost recon is different. So a few questions: 1) is it possible to run it dedicated because i cant seem to find this feature when i'm in the create server setup screen. 2) is it possible to make a maplist instead of just doing all the maps in order or random. I cant seem to create a maplist from the maps i want. 3) what kind of upload/download do you need to run a +- 12 player server (at home)? 4) which hosting companies are still offering Ghost Recon servers for rent? (in Europe) Most companies i know dont have ghost recon in their available list anymore. Thanks for your time
Ben 0
1) http://ghostrecon.3dretreat.com/dedicated_server.asp 2) I believe you can modify some maplist yes, not sure how/where. 3) 12 people, i estimate that when you have a 0.5/ 1 mbit [upload] line.. that's already enough to for 12 people, depends in which gametype (respawns, coops, bots). Ghost Recon doesn't require a heavy connection, with a good 2-3 mbit or 10 mbit you're fine. You do need a reasonable PC though, compared to other games GR runs quite "heavy" as server. 4) Try contacting GameServers.net? Or consider putting your PC in a rack in a serverpark, so you can run whatever you want on your server PC and you only pay for the rackspace + connection.

deleyt 0
Looking at your name, I'm guessing your either from Holland or Belgium. If that's the case, Gameservers.net might be your choice. It's located in Amsterdam I believe (or close to it)
qsxdrgbhu 0
I have 768K/768K ADSL connection I host non-dedicated 18 player games and there is usually no lag. At least people do not mention it..
Big 0
Also i would use the Reconlog program. Check it in this topic Reconlog Features -------- Log Joining Players names with thier IP Addresses. Optionally log nade users. In Dedicated mode ghostrecon is restarted on crash. Kick/Ban/ICMP Ping Players at any time in the game. Wildcard ban players host names ie: *.dialup.net. Remote HTTP Access to Logger Features. (Protected By Username/Password) Change Mod Settings Auto Archive Replays and Missionstats (make sure that gr options set to record games) Compresses Archived Replays and stats file using PKZIP. Edit ban.txt via HTTP Remote Access. For any question about it, just use the forums on ghostaholic.com
