WhiteKnight77 1
Interesting to say the least. MS, Sony and Nintendo seem to want to destroy gaming with all of these "consoles" that are easy to churn out games for with no content really.
Sart 34
Which is why SEGA rocked. The Dreamcast had some of the best games ever.
2nd Ranger 1
I'm having trouble remembering any specific ones, but I'll take your word for it.
deleyt 0
Very nice read. I believe game-publishers are the weakest link in today's games, having eye for money only and a massive impact on the developing process (deadlines, marketing for the masses, etc...). Recent titles have proven this and I can't see a turning-point just yet. Too many clones are out there already and it's time for some new innovative ideas, something daring, something new. firefly2442 0
I agree. I think there are tons of clones out there. Maybe by cutting out the middleman Publisher, developers will be able to distribute their own games online. If there was a system where I could download a game and then burn it onto a CD to play or even just save the game right on my hard drive without the need for a CD that would be awesome. Developers get more money, they charge less for the game, consumer wins, doesn't have to go to a chain to pay inflated prices... what's not to like?
Sup 0
Firefly, check out Gamespy's own Direct2Drive service. They're moving toward that.
