Dgine 0
Hello. I have been having problems with my connection to my provider since I moved last week. Problem is, it seems to have affected GR as well. So, I uninstalled and re-installed. Now, in the lobby room, all games show "no" for compatible. I can't play the game! (I think all of these problems started a couple of weeks after I installed Sygate's firewall - it's been removed since). Problem 2: prior to uninstalling, I could get to a game but it froze at "dowloading from server"...as if my computer was not accepting info. Can you help? Dgine PS I have W2K, DSL, GR & DS. Biro 0
Hey Dgine...try this: 1. Make sure you have Ghost Recon patched to 1.4. 2. Make sure your Sygates firewall is correctly uninstalled. 3. Disable any other firewall running. 4. Try to connect to our server at ip: 66.250.220.245 from the in-game multiplayer screen in ghost recon. Report back here what happened then please. Dgine 0
Done on all 4 points. Tries connecting to your 100mbits connection... THis is what I got! "Cannot connect to server Wrong software version"
Biro 0
Only reason I know why that message appear is because you haven't got GR patched to 1.4. When you start ghost recon and the main screen appears (with all the stuff: single player, options, replay, multiplayer etc...) you can check what version you are using by looking in the down right corner on this main screen. What i can read there is: version1.4.0.0 10/11 2002 14:08. Check that you have the same. Also check that both DS and IT are activated, but "if not" that shouldn't give this message. Dgine 0
Hey! Yup, I got 1.4. I also have Island Thunder. So, what's my best solution?
Biro 0
Ok, what I can suggest now is that you try to re-install Ghost Recon, Desert Siege and Island thunder. Maybe something have gone wrong during the installation, or you have got a bad patch or anything like that. Also you can wait and see if anyone else here can help you. I know SOTOMac have lots of knowledge about installing ghost recon in the proper way, so you might want to wait and see if he can helps you.
