Parabellum
man that sucks. I got a p2.4 mb and cpu I could send, but it would probably take a month or so to get there from the states. Anybody know about shipping to down under, cost and time. Most of the motorycle people i know down there say it takes forever and costs a bundle to get anything shipped from the states. I'll check with the usual suspects though. ← It does take forever to ship to and from down under. However, I'd be happy to take that mobo and CPU off of your hands for a fair price. SnowFella
yeah snow, same storms mate, on saturday i think it was. and he did have surge protection that worked, just didn't do the job good enough cheers...... ← Hmmm...must of been a direct strike then and not just a surge in the powerlines. Hopefully he had Belkin surgeprotection as they come with a pretty darn good warranty, the one I have for the TV and DVD system in the loungeroom claims a $40 000 Connected equippment warranty...the on for the computer even more
Parabellum
Thanks to all who sent me Gordo's address. I'll be sending him something either via PayPal or via mail later this week. Gordo's too nice of a guy to endure something like this alone.
dekela
with a bit of luck, gord's fun house will be back online tonight (aus time), so check in at msn for some games later on. no more looking at the empty spot where his puter once sat for gord. just in time too, cam paint and a water pistol might have got him arrested cheers...... osokdfgr
You should get a surge-protector to help prevent against that again.

Mind u i think this one is more like a really early version of it. ###### only being able to see out to 1200m with the current stand in card. Running VBS1 on 800 X 600 does make it blurier and harder to pick out targets in some respects. And the graphic quality of the models takes a hit- don't get me wrong looks damn better than my old GeForce 2 LOL But after having my FX 5700 which is i guess a Normal card these days I get spoilt with excellent model detail and Viz of 2.6Km or so...at least in SP. Still waiting for my FX 5700 to get back to me. Been a fortnight now.
Parabellum
Rifle 2-1 (me) is down as well, lads. For some reason, my Windows installation became corrupted a few days ago. I had to reinstall Windows, and, as a result, I have to re-install most games and aps. Also, someone seems to have nailed my IP, and I can't turn Zone Alarm off without someone flooding me with spyware and viruses. I can't play games with ZoneAlarm on, so I'm out until I can get a router, which I believe does the same thing a software firewall does, but externally. GRT
Call you cable company and ask if they can change your ip. They should say ok without any questions. Also then you could get that microsoft spyware software that they bought and made free. It has a realtime security on it that should stop spyware from showing itself. rjgat
Besides that ,you can just configure zonalarm to allow vbs1 to pass through .and still otherwise be "safe". i play with zoneala rm everytime.
