LOMAC - Phoenix!

Ive read a lot about the Phoenix how it can engage from such a range, its on the F14 Tomcat at the moment, Im not sure if its on anything else, but it seems to me I could do with one to whack this AWAC! Im playin lo mac again, I didnt have the patch last time and every time I got the shot into the AWAC the game would crash. And when my HD crashed I lost all my progress but Im back in the cockpit again. And quite a bit better this time round too.

I tactically flew the million miles through the hills evading the A50s radar, it would pick me up every now and then so Id put in a turn, and sure enough my AWAC would tell me fighters were coming in and they were no were near me after the wrong heading. I got out over the ocean to hit the A50 on its outward leg of its race track, when myself and my wingman were engaged by naval targets, we went to afterburner and evaded and outran the missles, climbing up to attack the A50, I went after the escorts whilst my wingman went for the 50, he got damaged and after launching on the Migs I also got shot down. A ###### to be sure. But the key to any attack is height, so next time Im gonna cruise at 24000 the whole way, and get the sitter on the A50 and not get engaged by that cruiser! Such a great game.

I have LoMAC but never played it. I think the learning curve of the game has put me off. Sounds like a lot of fun if you know what you're doing.

Yeah its pretty steep, but you need to be well into sims and already have mastered a few other flight sims. Ive had the MS Flight Sim for quite a few years running and mastered the flying bit of them, so it was only the weapons and radar for me on LOMAC which I find great fun.
