Rocky Posted March 1, 2003 Share Posted March 1, 2003 Well, we've had an oldest player thread, I think I might have stumbled on one of the youngest tonight... Me and SOTO Mac were playing some coop tonight when a voice jumped in on our comms - I later found him still hanging around the TS lobby. At first I thought it might be a girl, reason being it turned out he was only 13! He couldn't understand my accent too well, but I managed to find out he loved GR, and had asked Alpha Squad if he could sign up with them. The only reason I mention it, he was a very polite young man, I don't want to sound all "grandpa" or anything, but I was just impressed at his manners - he was a very nice young man, a pleasant change from the chaos I see in my own house. My little brother (aged 8) watched me play SOF II and went off to puke when I blew a guards leg off with my shotgun, switched to the M60 and blew away three guys with Kalaskinovs. Blood everywhere. I got in really big troube with my dad for that one. Every time I play before my brother goes to bed, I have to put the violence lock on. Velocity Posted March 2, 2003 Share Posted March 2, 2003 Before the hacker incident that devasted these forums a while back my brother was a member here i believe, he's 12 now and would of been 11 at the time. He's been playing online games like rainbow six and ghost recon every since rainbow six rogue spear came out in the uk. So like me, he was playing realistic online computer games from the age of 6-7 onwards. He's no longer a member here now as i dont think he re-registered at this site, but he still plays online every now and then - and trust me, dont be mistaken by his age, he may be a noob with the online terms and applpications such as GSA and ASE, but when it comes down to playing, hes very good for a 12 year old. Biro Posted March 2, 2003 Share Posted March 2, 2003 Yeah as Rocky told up there Blood/Cell/Firstblood whatever he call himslef nowadays is a very polite young kid that have been playing with us in Alpha Squad for a while. He have always acted in a very grown up way compared to a lots of other guys thats out in the online GR world. If we in Alpha Squad hadn't decided to have a age limit at 18 years he would definately have had a chance to join us. (Would have been cool to have him and Ice25 ( the oldest gr player?) togheter on the same team...I bet they would have kick some ass togehter cause they'r very good persons and players both of them). ...that just shows that age doesn't play any mather at all when it comes to online gaming!
