sammyboy 0
Hi, I have an audigy platinum soundcard running on a Windows XP Home Machine. When i'm playing GR, I can hear loud "pops and crackles " during game play..I've tried just about everything and doesnt go away.. My System is as follows... Asus A7N8X M/Board Athlon XP 2000+ Processor 512MB PC 2700 DDR-Ram GeForce 2 Card Audigy Platinum The M/Board has onboard sound which Ihave disabled. Ive tried playing the game with the onboard audio, and I get the same thing... Previously under Win2K..this was not happening Any suggestions from anyone..? WhiteKnight77 1
Have you tried the newest Audigy 2 drivers for you card and OS. If not download them and use them instead of the regular Audigy drivers.
sammyboy 0
Ive downloaded the audigy 2 drivers for WinXP, but on installation, it just says that it cannot detect audigy 2 card, and goes no further..How do I get around this?
SOTOMac 0
From Rubleman in a related Post ; Go to this site: http://www.driverheaven.net and look in their Audio forum. There are instructions how to do it, even has links to hacked drivers. You'll be much happier once you install the Audigy 2 drivers along with its new applications. If you have problems, post back. Greggus 0
I had the same problem,I had to keep switching PCI slots till it found the one it liked, "wow that card was particular""also you need to install the Audigy drivers that came on youre install disk first before you can update to the new drivers.
