Foxtrot360 0
Yeah , Yeah i know , i know , get broadband.... this thing is it aint available in my area....anyways , anyone tried this over dial up? Im wondering because i wouldnt want to waste 50$ on a perfectly good game because of dial up... plus , i could just buy something else. I was thinking about gettign it soemtime in april because it looks damn good but i really gotta know if its gonna be unplayble laggg (like Joint operations ) Or is atleast playable with a few other players?, ive had alot of lagg trouble with games that have drivable vehicles... so id like to know.. anyway later Edit - BTW, i think im on less than 56k because of the phone loines or something over here (more like 28.8k or 33k) Edited February 2, 2005 by [MtX]inuyasha
dekela 0
i play on 56 dial up on servers in aus and europe, and experience no noticable lag. although if there are a lot of high ping players on a euro server i do get a small amount of lag, but not enough to worry. VBS has very good net code, and is dial up friendly cheers......
WP33 0
Suicide Commando is on 56k, playing both when I host and when Gordo hosts. Dude's on the US's Eastern Seaboard, so figure 3000 miles to me on the West Coast, and all the way to Australia to hook up with Gordo, on 56k, and I think he's doing 400-500 ping many times. Not too shabby, really. Edited February 2, 2005 by WP33
Suicide Commando 0
Yeah, and with Team Speak running as well so not bad at all. BIA did a helluva job on the netcode.

SnowFella 8
Up untill now I've only ran it using dialup and haven't really had any problems, minor lag when using TS when there's over 10 ppl playing and we have lots of tangos on the map but that's to be expected. Works a heck of alot smoother than what GR used to do on K56! Those days are over though...got my 1.5Mbit connection activated yesterday and can't wait to see how it will run now!
