U|\|_N0_Nam3_01 0
now, as a modder, my job is to portray firefights with realism, keeping the gamer engrossed in the fight. you won't believe how many times ive played a map and this my response: i want people to react like: any suggestions on making things more interesting for you people? ie. enemies cover each other, allies movement changes depending on # actors on team killed Edited January 16, 2005 by U|\|_N0_Nam3_01
Mamon 0
I want to be able to see and engage enemies at long distances, 200-300m, and I want gunshots to be LOUD, i know everytime I go shooting, the first couple rounds that I hear make me jump, that's what I want to feel in a game. Best way to do this(my opinion) is to merely set your playerplatoon to invincible and then start outside the viewing range of an enemy and move towards him, he WILL tell you when he can see you, then make the neccessary adjustments and re-test until content. Patrols are cool and having ai actions between allied and enemy ai integrated within missions are cool too, especially when the allies winning is usually dependant on player intervention. mr.pibb 0
Oh yea, forgot 2 add, my missions have taken an average of 3 weeks to 5 months to comlplete depending on their complextiy (of course this includes hours and hours of testing too) To be honest a 'good' mission with alot of stuff going on takes alot of motivation and time to complete, thats the other essential to a 'good' mission (my opinion)
Militiaman 0
Ever try "Kafee Soundpack" modification For Ghost Recon? The gun shots are much louder and the sounds are much more realistic. I want gunshots to be LOUD, i know everytime I go shooting, the first couple rounds that I hear make me jump, that's what I want to feel in a game. ←

I thought I was the only one that took a couple of months on most missions. Good to hear that I'm not.
