Stinger 0
I got a matrix screensaver and I always understood a screensaver used less power and such. Well my screensaver is increasing my temps by 6 degress when being used. I checked just after it was running for 7 minutes and the temp went from 38 C to 44 C. Is this normal or should I get a new Screensaver? This screensaver is displaying "video" so ya know. Edit- I just had the XP Home SS up and it went from 35C to 34C... NightCrawler 137
As a gamer you should know that you should never use a screen saver, the cost of memory is just too high, and with todays high end moniters there is no need for them anymore.
Stinger 0
HAHA you are so wrong NC, when you have a nosy little sister it never hurts to have a password protected SS running to prevent her from snooping. As for memory I have 258MB free and I have 34 Active Process. Me=Not worried about resources just the HEAT! I will just stay with the gay old boring Win XP one I 'spose. Stinger 0
http://www.pctip.ch/downloads/dl/15298.asp That is the one I have, and dude I wouldnt use it. 6 degree increase in temps and a waste of electricity and HDD space.
