WytchDokta vs Fallout Boy & DJ The Crow - "WytchDokta Is Da Masta"

My latest remix, using most of the parts of DJ The Crow's remix of "Drug Is The Master" by Fallout Boy. In the middle of it, I bring in samples from Road Runner (the cartoon) and then I go into the Postman Pat main theme keeping the beat etc from "Drug Is Master." Features apt use of Full Metal Jacket and Dog Soldiers movie quotes, aswell as Lisa Abbott telling us that "WytchDokta is the one."

Something Heavy Going Down - Golden Earring

(I am making mp3s from cassettes that I orginally recorded from vinyl many years ago).

Wow... that gives new meaning to "whats old is new again"! Vinyl to tape to digital, nice :)

I wonder how many on here have never heard anything on vinyl?

I have been looking for Aerosmith's Live Bootleg on CD and can't find it anywhere so I figured I would make mp3s in the round about way.

I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 200+ cassettes with most containing 2 albums on them. I figure that is good for at least another 8GB of tunes or so if not more.

One has to also wonder why the RIAA didn't raise a stink back when we had vinyl and blank cassettes (matter of fact there is still blank cassettes being sold). People always borrowed tapes or records to record them from friends. There has been music sharing since Ampex first introduced ferric oxide magnetic recording tape and a tape recorder in 1948.

Oh yes WK on that score :grin1: whats the saying - "The more things change, the more they stay the same" ....

Thats going to be a sad day eh. I have wax coming out of my ears ... ummm ... so to speak, with 12" & turntables / Hiphop / Scratch mixing and the rest keep ing wax alive. New things are here for laptops to use turntables whith time coded discs etc which may move it more into digital, but its slowly getting more digital, shame if it does go that way completely ...

Im guessing this is a bit off topic so ...

Im listening to a Fabric Mix from DJ Format currently.

The worst thing about that is it ruins the vinyl. I cringed the first time I heard a rapper scratching. I have always treated my albums like they would fall apart if handled roughly. Most of mine are in like new quality, even after 25+ years.

I first started buying vinyl a few months back, and have to say most things I buy now I got for the vinyl if possible. This is for two reasons:

1) It sounds better

2) They're cheaper

As a matter of fact, amongst people I know, vinyl is becoming more popular for some reason. I just hate the fact I missed the 70's when it was all new, along with Firebirds.
