There are many players (TGP/TE/RSI) who are unable to make the early(for us) play times but are eager to play this game with the addons that you guys have amassed (I swear it looks almost as good as VSB1 now...and I only spent $30!). It would sure help if we could get the dedicated server corrected (missions removed that use addons that are not on the list) so that we could join at times that are better for us and help to expand this community a bit. Me bragging about this game only goes so far. People need to experience it! So... With the risk of being accused of "beating a dead horse", I beg of someone to contact Pave and get the server straightened out. T_1 Posted December 21, 2004 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Okay, it would appear that Real Life stuff is keeping Pave away at the moment, however some of us can get into the server, if needed I'm sure we could sort out the mod list to get us all to join the server, so we can get the server going albeit in a piecemeal fashion. We should bear in mind that Pave server costs us nothing to use, and whilst we're having problems at the moment, hopefully it can be sorted out in the future. That requires the following; FK Humvees BAS D/R I think that's pretty much the extent of what people don't have. There seems to be a bug with that mission (or server?) that the player gets bounced out without being told what he is missing. We need to decide whether or not to drop Shilka Hunt off of the mission list (delete it from server) OR require two more addon downloads to join the server. There is no way for us to be in a position to drop the mission from the mission list or delete it from the server. No one here other than Pave has access to the server. NP , We were in the middle of trying to rationalise all the addons and mission I wasn't expecting to get suddenly called away like that, so hadn't set anything in place or updated the server with some of the stuff we had discussed Well, the default mission is Shilka Hunt. Yeah, I just picked two of the best/fun missions, when I first "threw together" the default "play list" for the server and never got round to updating it Shilka Hunts a pretty fun mission, penned by Sart IIRC. Yeah it's a great mission, we had talked about getting Sart to update it to use the newer addons instead of dropping it completely. Pave Low Posted December 23, 2004 Share Posted December 23, 2004 It's nice to be back mate, got a lot of gaming to catch up on OK, the server play list has been updated to only the GoA missions and I'll keep it up-to-date as we upload new and updated missions that use only the "new" addons listed.
