Killzone

Well this was a GREAT game that gets my 10 stars i was amazed at the amount of Detail and weapondry, along with vheciles and a realistic taste of future war.

Only problem was if you get hit and you take damage just stay behind cover for a bit and your health will start to increase again for a small amount of time then it stops when its full or after a small bit. This feture has made the game incrediblly easy.

I wish to hear opinons from others who have played this action packed shooter

The first time I played it, I threw it away after five minutes while damning myself for wasting money on such trash :P

Gave it another go the other day (when I was actually in the mood for playing a first-person shooter), and was positively surprised. The framerate hitches every once in a while and the graphics aren't the best I've seen on a console (though not bad for the aging PS2) - and there are a few glitches here and there - but overall it's pretty good. The 'near-future war' atmosphere is pulled off almost perfectly, the weapons are unique and cool (the ones I've tried so far, anyhow) and I really love how the screen moves around while reloading.

I still have major issues with the PlayStation 2 controller, but this is probably the FPS I've had the least problems controlling once I adjusted the sensitivity. (Both to minimum works for me.)

Gameplay itself is entertaining and it's nice to play a shooter where cover is actually important. Despite the recharging health (which only recharges to a certain point, mind you), getting shot can hurt quite a bit sometimes. The weapons are also fairly inaccurate compared to other shooters, so there are a lot of extended shootouts, where you and your allies pop up from behind cover, fire off a few rounds at the enemy, then duck back down to avoid the returning fire.

I also love room-clearing. Cook off a grenade, slam it into the room, wait for the explosion and then charge in and mop up any survivors with the shotgun attached to the Helghast (what kind of name is that anyway?) assault rifle. Just pray there aren't more than one survivor, as the underslung shotgun has to be reloaded after each shot, M203-style.

All in all, a fun shooter and probably the best FPS title on the PlayStation 2. (Which, sadly, isn't saying much.)

What's the 4th character?
Hakha, a Helghast spy working for the ISA. Apparently, he carries a Helghast assault rifle and has increased accuracy with all Helghast weapons.

from what i have seen from it, i do not own a PS2 myself but have played it a bit on a friends ps2, i really like this game. Shame i couldn't get tickets to the launchparty here in Amsterdam. ( yes, it is a Dutch game )

I only hope they will do a PC version of it soon! otherwise i will just keep working on my own models of the Killzone weapons. ;)

Also Hakha can GO PAST WITHOUT TRIGGERING!!! Helghast proximity mines and tripwires and certain security because of the special chip implanted in his neck because he is HALF Helghast. Every soldier of the Helghast army has a chip in their neck so they don't fall prey to their own booby traps.

So he is nice
