Windows Service Pack 2

Recommended Posts

most everyone tells me they dont bother with SP2.

i recently restored my computer to XP home edition and installed SP2 and tried installing GR ... it played fine but i swear there was strange lagginess (maybe it was just me or i had not changed the graphic settings appropriately).

all in all i hated XP so much that i just even more recently did another recovery back to what i had before W2K pro.

speaking of which, my latest W2K SP is #2. i notice there is a SP #4 now ... worth it? anything else i should look out for?

Not really into the whole older versions of Windows OS's and such. so I don't know what you should do in what you just described. I'm just looking for people who have XP and Service Pack 2 installed. To see if they are having any problems and such. Thanks

okee dokee. well thats what i did (installed XP) and played ghost recon fine.

just talked to a buddy of mine who is hardcore hacker, i mean, security consultant, and he warned me to have ALL my SPs burnt to CDR before even thinking about connecting to the net (rather than downloading via 'windows update'). he claims that attacks typically happen on un-patched computers within 10 minutes of getting connected to the net. he also recommends having a firewall up and running before connecting (even free zone alarm will do).

is that arizona state? you guys have a lot of hot chicks.
