Savage B 0
Getting ready to set up a dedicated server using a spare 850 Mhz Athlon,256 Mb Ram,40 Gb /HD.It will feature GR/DS/IT & HX4 for multiple players. Question 1. How many Players can I expect to host without my system crashing? Question 2. Is it worth the bother. Any/All replies appreciated. Savage B / new to the Multiplayer Game. VF_EvilGhosT 0
with 850 mhz your not gonna be able to host much at all. my guess would be 5 to 6 (at the most) might even lag with that many. Prcessor, video card, it all comes into play when hosting. Edited February 26, 2003 by VF_EvilGhosT
Xian Saint 0
uh...what kind of connection do you have...I would say depending on that and how far away people are that try to connect...you could expect to run 12 to 14 people no problem... There are so many variables that go into it...it would be hard to say without trying it...
NightCrawler 137
If it crashes too much with Hx try it without mods and see what it can do.

WhiteKnight77 1
You should be able to host 12 reasonably with your DSL connection (I have DSL too and host 14 pretty good) with your PC.
