Will the visibility in a map affect the

line of sight of the enemy AI's?

Changed the visibility and re-textured the m01_caves map

to a winter map with low visibility. Will the enemies see

through this (i know i can't):

New look with re-textured sky:

Here are the map properties:

Fog

Near=5.00

Far  =20.00

Snow Intensity=100.00

Far clip distance=180.00

Max spot range = 90.00

What should i change to affect the visibility?

A few pointers:

Since your far fog distance is set to 20 meters, set your far clipping distance to 30 meters. It really doesn't serve a purpose to clip the geometry at a distance you don't see anyway.

When you have a spotting distance of 90 meters, but your far fog distance is at 20 meters, the enemy AI will see you way before you can see them.

So, you'll have to lower the number untill you're close to (prefferebly under) the far fog distance.

Set you near fog distance to a negative number (like - 10). The result will be that you feel much more in the fog, rather than standing in front of it.

So with these changes, your settings could be something like this:

Fog

Near=-10.00

Far =20.00

Snow Intensity=100.00

Far clip distance=30.00

Max spot range = 15.00
