I recently found an excellent "actor" file in a downloaded mod. I would love to use this actor in some of my own scripted sp missions for my personel use.

This is my question:

What files do I need to transfer / edit to "move" this actor to the Origmiss folder so that I can access and use this actor in my missions without having it's original mod activated.

How can actor files be transferred to other mods and what files need to be transfered and/or edited and where?

I attempted to just copy and paste the ".atr" into origmiss equip / folder. It showed uo in Igor but when I attempted to play the mission it CTD'd

(Crash To Desktop)

If anyone has an answer or a link to a tutorial on this, Please help.

Well, are we talking .atr files or .chr files? The .chr needs to be in whatever mod you're trying to use it in, as well as any body or face .rsbs. Otherwise, the game will look for it, and not find it, hence the CTD. Also is this a Specialist or a standard actor? You'll have better results trying to use the character if it's a specialist in single player missions- which will require unlocking the specialists (A little more than you thought you'd need, huh? lol) I was constantly frustrated for a while doing stuff like this, but trial and error helped me out. You will definitely need to have an actor with the .chr you want to use in its model line. I'd suggest opening Igor, starting a new actor and dropping that .chr you wish to use in there. If you need help, I'm confident there's a lot of tutorials in the Recon section of this site that will be useful. Other than that, PM me if you need help!
