Yesterday, I ordered this keyboard from NewEgg. I have been checking it out for a few weeks now and like the way it looks and reviews I have read have rated it really well.

Saitek Gamers' Keyboard USB 104 keys -RETAIL Model# PZ08A even has backlit keys. I am trying to figure out a use for the keypad (mayte use it during races on Sundays).

Read the review and it sounded good. Backlit keys sound like a real plus since I always play in a dark room. Let us know how it works out. I almost bought a USB light the other day so I could shine it down on the keyboard but wasn't sure if it would be dim enough so as not to distract me.

You get no choice of backlight color, it comes in LED blue only. While the keys are backlit, I read a user review at NewEgg that says the letters aren't lit even though it is beneath them.

That 11 button pad is actually a number pad 1-9 with 2 shift buttons, I guess they allow for different modes of operation.

The latest PC Gamer did a review of this keyboard and rated it at 95% and gave it a Kick Ass Award.

FedEx says it will be delivered this Friday, So hopefully I will get to use it after I get my shower and get on the PC. :)

I got my keyboard today and it looks and feels killer. The backlights can be dimmed or completely turned off. The keypad adds another 27 functions and can be mapped however you want that you can use in-game.

The keys are really quiet and have a solid feel to them. It lays flatter than a normal keyboard though it can be tilted up by the stands underneath it like all keyboards have. I think it may be better on your wrist by being flat compared to a ramped style keyboard. The wristrest is adjustable if you wish to have it out.

It will take me a bit to get used to this new keyboad though. At first when trying to type a captial letter, I was having my favorites folder opening up.

If you are looking for a different keyboard that is pretty cool looking and quiet, consider the Saitek Gamers Keyboard.

I love it. The Eclipse has tjhe transluscent letters for better identification in the dark unlike mine. Go for it. Oh yeah, it is a lot quieter than otrher keyboards.

Thanks! I just about got the gamers keyboard not long after you got yours but was hoping somewhere down the line they would light up the letters as I almost always play in a dark room. Now that Saitek has done that it's time to dig out the credit card and get one coming my way.

Got the Eclipse Friday and I'm impressed with it's lighting effects. If your a non-keyboard wizard, like me,and you play in a dark room I would strongly recommend this keyboard. There is one bad aspect as I can no longer use the excuse of I couldn't see the right key when the AI kicks my backside. :wall:
