Mission II: Copper Snake

OPORD

Situation: We have and excellent foothold in the far Northern part of the island. With troops and supplies pouring in, we can start our advance to the South. Our first target is a port town called "Dhahaban".

While on a recon mission, an M3 spotted a BMP to the North of the town. We don't know where these guys are getting armor from, but we need that destroyed as well.

Intention: We need to bring in mass amounts of additional supplies via ship. In order to do this we need a port, which is where Dhahaban comes in. A small detachment from the 1st ID. will capture the town. BRAVO squad (You), infantry and a M113, will secure an enemy checkpoint located at the crossroads East of the port. You will then continue West and assist CHARLIE squad in the capture of the port.

Each squad is equipped with an Anti-Tank unit. Take out that BMP fast before it can start shooting back. When the town is under our control, prepare for any counter attack from the South.

Enemy forces: Several enemy infantry units guard the town, along with one BMP. Possible counter-attack force in unknown.

Friendly Forces: CHARLIE squad - Light infantry with AT support will advance on Dhahaban from the South.

Service/Support: Additional ammunition is being carried by BRAVO's M113. We also have a Medical M113 on stand-by to treat any wounded. It will advance to the crossroads after BRAVO has secured it.

Current weather: Sunny, good visibility.

Forecast for the next 12 hours: No change.

OBJECTIVES

1. The capture of the crossroads is needed if we want to attack from the Eastern valley. Once it is under our control, we can pull in medical supplies close to the port without worry of them being destroyed.

2. BRAVO and CHARLIE squads will assault the town of Dhahaban. Eliminate any hostile force in the city with zero to minimal civilian casualties.

3. Destroy the enemy BMP located somewhere in the Northern half of the town.

4. Hold off any possible enemy counter-attack.

Notes

We still don't know who were fighting against, but there shooting at us, so I could care less. I just want them dead. The capture of this port should allow a lot of supplies to be brought in.

Plus I think my new BDUs are on that ship...
