Snake 0
I rened ShellShock and i get it for a entire week. I start out and i died 2 times but then i got the hang and got 75% through the game one day and beat the last 2 mission the next morning. It was good especially the "Boom-boom" part it needed more levels only 10 missions and some are extremly short but they got lots of guns
Cpl Ledanek 247
It was good especially the "Boom-boom" part being prior service myself, Boom-Boom usually means one thing. How graphic did it get, or was it like the Sims? thanks for the review.
Snake 0
not graphic but you hear what is going on EDIT: accually if you would count this they touch their chest and shake their rears at you while you walk to the door you could count that as graphic Edited November 2, 2004 by Snake
Snake 0
Too add more to my review: Also with high powered weapons like assault rifiles you can blow Vietnameese heads off along with legs and arms. Also a very gory thing in this game when an enemy is hit with an explosive they burst into bloody chunks. ShellShock carries something that most FPS dont have. You have what is called "Shock Defense" it is a indicaor that indicates 3 stripes and when you take a hit it wont injure you but damage your shock defense when all 3 shock bars are full you will take damage until they regenerate. When you are extremly close to death you hear your heart racing which mutes some sound. Mission objectives are Nam' like but you are on your own for half of them. Also you can use flamethrowers which are crap in this game it makes a tiny fire where you hit the guy and they constantly take damage until it goes out which will kill enimies. Also when your flamethrower pack on your back takes too many hits it goes BOOM!! killing you instantly. Also to note is that their are VC booby traps in this game and they are tripwire grenades and Punji Stakes and those HURT! It takes about 3 tripwire Nade traps to kill you assuming you let shock defense recover. Now to cover guns more. They have recoil on here and scoped weapons and heavy machine guns that can overheat in the middle of a clip. Heavy machine guins do lotsa of damage and others are more accurate and powerful that others. A very versitale gun is the "Death Machine" a big machinegun that is in heavy class and you have a box on your back and a belt of bullets running from it to your Machinegun and carries a 1000 rounds and cuts VC down like a weed wackers cuts down weeds. More coming
Sup 0
I heard the game was the worst 'nam game of 'em all.
snared_gambit 0
Don't waste your money on this, just get Conflict: Vietnam, or if you're just looking for the jungle, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

WytchDokta 6
Don't waste your money on this, just get Conflict: Vietnam ← I'll second that. Conflict: Vietnam has some of the best iron sights views to date! (and yes, they are very realistic). I can go get some screenies of the iron sights up here. I would have liked to have seen more weapons in Conflict: Vietnam though - there's no Thompson M1A1, no PPSh 41 ("Spagin"), no PPSh 43, no M1A1 carbine, no Winchester 70, no Mosin-Nagant. IMO in Conflict Vietna, the shoulda put in the Thompson instead of the M3A1 ("Grease gun"). Also, the eapon sounds are a major improvement over the Conflict: Desert Storm 2 weapon sounds - but why can the M16A1 in Conflict: Vietnam fire in three round burst or single shot? And why can the firing mode for the M60 be changed to single shot or full auto? M60 is full auto only.... Also, another improvement over Conflict: Desert Storm 2 is that in Conflict: Vietnam you can only carry one type of each weapon (i.e - 1 pistol, 1 rifle (or 1 smg etc), 1 heavy weapon (M60 or LAW or RPG-7 etc) and a few 'nades). Sup 0
I just played a demo of conflict, and I agree that it's great. However, I'm pretty sure there's a Mosin-Nagant.
Arms 0
THere is definately a mosin nagant in the demo. to bad you u dont have to worry about ammo being wasted though. I heard shellshock nam 67 was a terrible game, i mean the game received a fail from pcpp.

KRP 56 92
I heard the game was the worst 'nam game of 'em all. ← PCGAMER will second that. Here's their headline. It wants to be hard hitting but the only thing that'll be hit hard is the uninstall button. It got a 15% rating. Here's another good one liner. Comes on a single DVD which simplifies the throwing away process.
