wlc 0
I made a room with 3 floors, all floors are walkable and everything works, but in Igor only the first floor shows up. What am i doing wrong? Should each floor be a different room? For what are shermantransitions used for? Where could i find a tutorial about multiple floors? Thanks. Biro 0
Try to read carefully through the chapter in the levelbuilder.pdf about shermanlevels and shermanlevelheights, this is the important things to understand and I doubt I can give you a better explanation then what the levelbuilder says. But I can give you another advice: try to make a more simple map before you start out with this. This is probably the most difficult thing to get right in mapmaking. GRT 0
Only 2 floors will show up on Igor or the command map. You can have more than 2 floors but past the second they will not show up. Id say what biro said and read the level_builder.pdf acouple times till it starts to get clear.

BornToKill 0
You can have more than 2 floors show up in Igor, my Maze map has 3 levels.Just the Command Map is limited to 2.So when a tango shows on Command map you can't tell exactly what level they are nor can you direct your soldiers to the 3rd floor. When you map is loaded in Igor, and as long as you've correctly labled your shermanlevels for each floor polygon, you can go up and down levels using the +/- keys. As Biro says keep it simple to start with until you get the hang of it.The mistake i made with the Maze Map, 3 levels, over 100 shermanlevel boxes,120+ Tansitions = a real headache to figure out.Got it in the end but took 8 Months to build that map. Also note in the PDF file it states you only need seperate shermanlevels in a room with more than one floor, so one alternative is to make each level a seperate room.Just ensure your Portals are not directly above another. This all depends on your map layout as to which will work better. The commandmap can only have 2 levels but you can have as many floorlevels you want as long as they are tagged correctly. WSV had 6 floorlevels for instance and all 6 levels could be accessed seperatly through IGOR. Planning your map before making it is crucial in case you need multiple levels. It will save you a lot of agony later on. EDIT: DOH! BTK already answered it aswell Edited November 1, 2004 by |rsi|™deleyt
