CR_Bongo 0
it has been a while since i last posted in this thread. so here goes: swartz how do you get such awesome rederings of your model? got any tips for a new modder? everytime i play around with the settings this is the best i can get; 9796 polys so far, but its just learning how to make them now for me and i am in 3dsm 6, so i cant export them anyways. any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. btw the stock is from hereVLTOR i love their stuff and always wanted to try and do one, and seeing you guys models got me inspired. EDIT: swartsz you absolutely ROCK thanks for the advice and the inspiration, your models look amazing. Edited February 1, 2005 by CR_Bongo
swartsz 7
looks very nice! there are a lot of ways to make better renders of your models. a simple one is to add a skylight to your scene, hit '9' on your keyboard and select Light tracer. after that it is more trail and error with more lights in the scene, settings and different materials. try adding some glossiness to your material. also a good way to learn more on making renders is to browse through some tutorials, like the ones on 3dtotal.com. In some of them you can find very useful information on how to make better renders. Edited January 31, 2005 by swartsz

snared_gambit 0
Nice UMP swartsz, even though I don't really like the looks of that gun, it's still very cool. Been a while since I've shown up with anything, so here's a, I dunno, new one . . .
Suicide Commando 0
That UMP group rember is cool swartsz. And a very cool Glock as well s_g.

snowpilot 0
← Nice model. U sure it's a mannlicher? looks more like a mosin-nagant 2 me. that stupid mag well screws up the id a bit, cuz both rifles have it. the sights would help a bit...could u add a bit more detail to them? Any scope to go along with it? ← haven't made any new scopes lately...maybe i can come up with one this week. ← Those ump's are fine with the iron sights. if anything, u could add a reflex sight or something, but don't go overboard. no point in having a high-powered scope on a weapon that's only meant to shoot bout 10-20 yds
JTF-2 0
9796 polys so far, but its just learning how to make them now for me and i am in 3dsm 6, so i cant export them anyways. any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. ← Nice detail in the stock. Useless in any game, but a good model. As for the grip, it looks like a lot of time has been spent on the shape. To smooth out the lighting for it find the "smooth" modifier. Should be in the modifier pull down list on the right panel. I use 3DSM 6 too. Man it's great. Lots of nice little things that make it easier to use.

snared_gambit 0
It's made with 6 points, a temporary placeholder, making a high detail mag soon.

Suicide Commando 0
Nice MP5's s_g. Still like the collapseable stocks better but it's nice to see alittle diversity.
