WhiteKnight77 1 Posted October 22, 2004 Share Posted October 22, 2004 Someone made a huge mistake and tried to open a .exe file with WinZip and can't get it back to open with the original installer. Dannik 43 Posted October 22, 2004 Share Posted October 22, 2004 Start -> Run -> "assoc.exe=exefile" sans quotes and Ok it. This will restore the association for executable files with the proper Windows system file, assuming that's what's been accidentally changed. If not, it's safe to run this anyway, as it merely resets the Windows default setting. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
