lane 0
I have installed a dedicated server on this pc : OS: win200 sp4 cpu : athlonxp 2200 266FSB memory: 768 Mb ddr266 video: AGP geforce ti4200 64ddr the connection is a dsl 1280/256 What it happens is a strange thing: if I use it as a server meanwhile I play the guests have a very low ping (less than 100 ms), otherwise I hosted as dedicated server but in this case the guest have a ping around 200ms. I try to give the maximum priority tio thye process but nothing change. Is this normal? Can I do something to avoid the problem? WhiteKnight77 1
While I can't explain why that happens, I can give you a bit of advice. Since the clients to your server have a low ping if you host, keep it set up that way and when you quit playing, set yourself to observer and set the server to random maps with a timer. You won't have to be there to change maps or anything. It will still run by itself.
