Stinger 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Share Posted February 23, 2003 My hdd makes sounds every once and awhile like is I guess is searching for info. Some small clicks and spins. This is completly normal right? I am paranoid and just want to make sure. I dont recall it always having done this but it is closer to me now and in a diff case. It doesnt just do this on boot up it is 100% random and can happen any time. I am pretty sure it is just getting info but I wanna make sure. Also it is a Samsung HDD, neverheard of them making hdds. snakebite1967 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Share Posted February 23, 2003 (edited) it should be fine my maxtors are pretty quiet and i cant hear much over the wind tunnel noise anyway but i know my old fujitsu 10 gigger 3600 sounded like it was having a fit and it never quit on me , well apart from that burning and melting part but thats another story where was i oh ya you should be fine stinger ol bud just dont mod it ok !!
