custom sound will not play

i just made a custom sound for a famas but i can't get it to play in game. all the properties are on time; 16 bit, 1 channel, mono, ect... i have reconsiled the files in igors sound volume editor but still nothing. the original files i modded were the a-91 adjusted for pitch and amplitude in SOUNDPAD.

What id do is check your famas.gun file and see if the sound is right in there. Then id make sure the sound is in the "sound"(without "") folder. If that still didnt work id delete the effects.xml file and make a new one.

I'd second RR GRT, delete xml file, make new one. Every error I got making new sounds was fixed by redoing the xml. If you have 4 sounds in your folder, make sure xml shows the number 4 in it above the list of sounds. Also your ike log shows 2 references to w_famas_rc.wav--you got an extra file floating around within your mod folder?
