Sup
OFPEC doesn't let you link to specific files. Hey, has anybody tried BAS's TSF units? They look good. Edited November 26, 2004 by sup
2nd Ranger
I have them, they're nice. Except the jungle camo. Sup
I downloaded the Marine assault pack, and the TSF. I really like the desert TSF, but I agree about the jungle. I can't load the vehicle that comes with them, though. I'm missing their crew addon, it seems.
2nd Ranger
I dunno about that, the BTR is supposed to be theirs, although it might be manned by the government dudes who come with Tonal.
Sup
Are there any of these mods that aren't actually used anymore?
2nd Ranger
Mmnmnmn... it's a tough question. We don't really use them all, but we haven't got around to replacing/getting rid of them yet. For example, we still have missions that use the FK Humvees, which we have replaced with the COMBAT! versions. We'll probably have a better Mod Thread up soon, just one post of the stuff we have so we don't have to go rooting through this thread. As for the old stuff, it's a question of whether we want to keep some of the old missions and update them with the newer stuff, or get rid of every mission that was Pre-COMBAT!. Sup
Okay. I'll just DL 'em all, then. I can't find a working link for the LSR Rangers pack anywhere. Edited November 27, 2004 by sup
Pave Low
We'll probably have a better Mod Thread up soon, just one post of the stuff we have so we don't have to go rooting through this thread. Working on it ..... As for the old stuff, it's a question of whether we want to keep some of the old missions and update them with the newer stuff, or get rid of every mission that was Pre-COMBAT!. Tough one, all those missions are great fun, might be worth spending the time updating them to replace "old" addons with newer ones (or even go so far as to add new stuff and objectives or just polish them) @Sup, try this one Laser (LSR) US Army Rangers v1.5 (Right-click and "save target as")

CrowmanUK
Quick question on the JAM magazines, I know theyre up to version 2 but which are you using, the official JAM2 addon or the version that the AvonLady updated, the link to its here http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=7438
2nd Ranger
We're using the official one currently. The update fixes some sounds, right?
CrowmanUK
From what I've read it does, here you go The enclosed files are exactly the same as the original JAM version 2 files, with an added correction made by OFP player Cornhelium to fix flying bullet sounds, which were not working because of a configuration coding error. The corrected configuration code was inserted by The Avon Lady.
2nd Ranger
Last night Crow pointed me to King Homer's Engagement Pack http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=6557 It's a small mod that adds an M82 rifle, an iron sight SR25 and a scoped SR25, and an m1911. Nice models, nice sounds. The M82 comes with a script you can put into a soldier's init field, that will create a dust and smoke effect when he fires the 82. On a related subject, it seems there will soon be an update for the LSR delta guys, adding new soldiers and a few weapons (including what looks like an M29), using the Homer's EP. http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=6557
CrowmanUK
Great stuff mate, I'll look forward to that, the M82's got a bit of a kick hasnt it

2nd Ranger
If everyone likes the look of this, perhaps we can use it for the final Aden missions.
CrowmanUK
They look good in the screenshots, how do they compare to the quality of the COMBAT addons?
Sart
Just had a run with them in single player. There detailed, but what impressed me the most was the sound, which is great.
2nd Ranger
The sound is indeed nice. The textures aren't as detailed as the CBT addons, but the models are good. They are miles better than the stock stuff, anyway.
Foxtrot
I'm a veteran OFP and mission maker on the side and from my past experiance the more addons you use the more slow the mission will be. So if you want a mission that runs good then you should seriously cut down on your addons. Like get ride of some of the smaller addons and maybe one or two of the big ons. But just from looking at all these addons I can just see how slow all these missions are going to be.
