2nd Ranger
These are of that Mogadishu map I was talking about It's a huge desert map, probably about the size of the Afghanistan map, but with more accessible areas, less mountains etc. There are two villages around the size of the one in that first shot, a main US airbase, a smaller desert base and the main Mogadishu city itself, which is impossible to fit in a screenshot because it's about thirty times the size of that first village. If that appeals to anyone, you can get it here http://www.planetrainbowsix.com/atwar/dbta...-leavenoone.exe
Pave Low
Looks good, I'll check it out BHD-LeaveNoOne The Final The island has a working airport, with very big hangers. There are two small villages on the way to the city. 70% of the buildings are enterable and are in a seperate pbo file, so wrp editors can use them in their maps, With out the need of my island. All entry buildings have A.I. routes, some buildings have ladders and stairs the buildings pbo file is named BHD_houses.pbo the city, village 1 , village 2 and the us base, have lights. landscapes have now been altered. 2nd Ranger
Sweet. I've never used the city in the missions I've made for it, I just like it because you get all that nice, open desert to patrol around in. THe two towns and the desert base make for some good objective oppportunities too.
El_Nino
So everyone has Earl's Marine Assault Pack? If so, do you have the full version including the MTCO server addon or just the units? I am working on a mission that uses the Marine pack. I have the full MTCO pack installed. You can download it here: http://www.mtco.com/games/downloads/addons...OServerPack.exe El
2nd Ranger
I've got it, I don't know if it's the full version or not, though. What does the server pack do, exactly? ___ Never mind, I got it anyway. Looks like somebody else got tired of the desert island map as well. This is called Sandy Rocks island; http://www.atwar.net/e107_files/images/sandyrocks2.jpg ___ Also found some new Ranger units to go with the LSR delta units I posted previously The accompanying weapon pack has some nice stuff, some of it from the USMC pack. That's an SR25 match, M240B, HK SOCOM pistol, M16/203, M14 SOPMOD and an XM773 aimpoint, Edited October 14, 2004 by 2nd Ranger
2nd Ranger
I've had that marine pack for a few weeks, but I hadn't checked out the Russian naval units until today. They're pretty sweet, skin and weapon wise. If everybody has the pack then it would be good for some nice Afghanistan war-based missions (cool Russian desert skins), and also to give the Islamic guys some better equipment, because the Russian pack comes with some serious hardware. Check this out; I forget what it's called, it's a ZU-23 or something. It's like a ZSU, but better. One of the versions comes with two TOW-style rockets along with the regular anti-armour rounds. It's death in a can, I tells ya. The Russian pack comes with things like that as well as a few tanks, one of which has five, yes five weapons. And the Russian small arms look great. Sup
So... Can someone post links to all of these?
2nd Ranger
First post updated, with links. I think we should all use the Marine assault pack, and I'd recommend the ADF special forces and weapon packs, because the skins are so nice. 2nd Ranger
Fixed. Check this out folks, this is the BAS team's monster project, their 'Tonal' Island. http://www.atwar.net/e107_files/images/tonal.jpg "Tonal Isle is a large world map for Operation Flashpoint: Resistance. Set on the south east coast Africa, and combined with BAS OPFOR, it offers a wide variety of environments and battlefields for OFP, and a scenario / theme to open up new missions in the Tonal world. The Tonal project has taken a very long time make, with countless hours poured into it over this year (2003) and before. But it is not perfect, so future versions will finalize things like urban models and vegetation. It looks pretty, but at 112 megs, not very friendly when great maps like CAT are less than half that size. 2nd Ranger
Oh, my apologies, forgot to link it. Fixed now. Okay folks, turns out for some reason or other my Russian naval pack came with an APC pack that nobody else had. Pave and Sart downloaded it last night because my mission required it (it comes with several heavy fixed weapons, some of which I used). I figured everybody had it, but it seems I just got it with my Marine Assault Pack download. Pave and Sart, what version was that VIT APC pack you both got? I was going to link it, but I found versions numbering to 1.4. I'm thinking that error message you were both getting was because I had a higher version than you, so it would probably be worthwhile all having the latest version, which can be found here http://www.atwar.net/download.php?view.3631 We're definitely going to have to ditch some of these mods, the ones we don't use alot. We can drop the FK humvees; it'll be no problem replacing them with the Combat ones. Hmm, I installed version 1.4 just to test it out, but it wouldn't show up in the editor. I'vve probably got the version one above Pave and Sart's version, maybe we should just go with that. Pave Low
Yes, you do need to add every .pbo that comes in a pack, some go in Addons folder, but some go elsewhere the readme file should tell you if anything in the download needs to be put elsewhere. some addons also require you to have other addon packs for them to work, but again the readme should tell you what is required (and usually the D/L site will also usually mention them and include a link on the download page).
