What are these for?

Recommended Posts

Firstly, well done all for making it look even errrrrr.....prettier :D as well as more user friendly.

1/ What do the + and - symbols mean on 'Quote' or 'Reply'?

2/ What does the arrow symbol do to the right of a quote [under the big green "]?

3/ I clicked on 'Quote' and nothing happened, yet when I clicked on 'Reply' it opened up with a quote!

4/When I opened 'Find all posts' by me, my posts appeared in chronological order as they should, but this time there's a large-ish space above them. Basically, the box needs shrinking if you can.

5/ The 'Post New Topic' and 'Preview Post' buttons need to be more prominant, perhaps by outlining and putting the font in bold. So too the 'Code Buttons' area.

6/ The Quote box is bordered ------ rather than ______

I like the member card idea, but am still disappointed that the regulars out there still don't put anything in there!

Thanks for the feedback DS. AFAIK the Quote button is for switching the quote feature on or off for your reply. If you click it (red) and then hit reply, it should not include the quote in your new post, uhm, but it does.... so I dunno! But I'll ask Super Bob.

6) It's meant to be.

The reason for the quote being a toggle now, is multiquoting.  You can toggle several posts to be quoted, and when you reply, all the toggled posts will be quoted, individually.

How do we multiquote?

How do we multiquote?

Use the p_mq_add.gif button in the lower right hand corner of the posts box.

As you can see;

Multple replies are possible;

I tried that. It would only quote the post I clicked the reply button on, not multiple posts.

[EDIT]: I see. I was clicking Reply and not Add Reply. Thanks WK. :thumbsup:

2. Its the snapback, click it and will take you to the quoted post.

6. Its much better designed. The new one is easier to follow when there are embedded quotes.
