Stalker
Pressure Author: Migryder Type of mod: Mission pack Download Filesize: 80.8 KB 80.796 bytes zipped and 397.578 uncompressed. This is the quantity of memory of your disk occupied by the last mod by Migryder aka mig, already author of Guatemala Mod, Africa Burning and Knight Fork, all mods characterized by the small size. So if you are going to cease to read this review just because since you have ADSL you consider that it?s worthy to download mods bigger than 300 Mbytes I urge not to do it and to go on with the reading. Let?s unzip the file and look inside it: 5 mission files and a tiny readme file. So this mod is clearly a mission pack. And let me tell you that the missions are really nice, good scripting for both Co-op and SP modes. Having installed the missions (not an immediate task for the young Ghost Recon players) you will have several hours of enjoyment since the mission (I?ve tested the mod only in SP mode) are very difficult and you will to play them again and again to successfully complete them. The missions are the following: A001 ? Red Snow (played in Moscow Map) A002 ? Steel Snake (played in Mountain) A003 ? Road Gang (played in Battlefield) A004 ? Embassy bus (played in Embassy) A005 ? Snipe Hunt (played in Caves) As you can see al the missions use Original Ghost and also the enemies are the classic Russians (or Georgian rebels). So it?s a bit disappointing to know that Island Thunder is required to play the mod due to some kits used bye enemies. But it?s also true that every single GR fan should have both expansion packs? (By the way, Mig is already at work to make the mod not IT dependent). The scripting of the missions is awesome, there will be no surprises (as Objective added or updated during the game), Migryder style is similar to Right-hand (how much we miss him) or AV-Apollo and there is no particular bug: I remember just the absence of the rockets check block in mission 2 so if you run out of rockets you have to restart the mission by yourself and, as reported directly by Mig in the forum, for the Co-op players, in the same mission and were teleported to one of the alternative inserts, they will end up in a different part of the map at the default insert when they respawn, so they should either be prepared for this or play with no respawn. Perfect mod then? Well, here I?m a bit unsure: all the Co-op players and those who care only for action will love it but those who needs to feel the story (like me) will find this mod a bit disappointing. The missions lacks of details (date, time place) and the briefings are only about the missions themselves having no immersion factor. Let me clarify: it?s better to know why we are facing that particular mission in that place than be asked to go and destroy all the armours in an unidentified place in an unknown time. To tell the truth missions are made to be played as single mission but I can?t leave to think that they could be linked in a wonderful mini-campaign like Guatemala mod. Also it?s a bit strange that Migridyer did not arrange the mod as a stand alone mod (like all his previous ones) rather then ask the player to copy the missions in the original mission folder. Apart these details the mission pack is very good and I suggest to play the it with an equipment mod. In my testing I?ve used IDF and Team mod by DTD and enjoyed it fully. Total rating: 8 / 10 (for SP) 9.5/10 (for Co-op) Reviewed by Giwex Edited August 1, 2008 by Rocky
Rocky
Some of Team [GRNET] have been playing this mission pack on the dedi server and it is certainly not for the faint hearted! The missions are packed with snipers, trigger happy rebels, and tanks making them quite tricky, but rewarding for those with the patience to see them through. There are random elements to keep things new, which makes the pack a nice training outting for Ghost Recon Squads.
The_Slink
I like it. Played Africa Burning too. Ouch!
Cpl Ledanek
Has anyone found a mod that would play nice with these missions? Even engaging them from a distance with silenced snipers, hitting tanks from a distance (guest-timating in Steel Snake) is awefully hard. And that's a compliment! I can't wait to set up a LAN to play co-op. Maybe we'll get a better chance. Kick-AzzzReward to Migryder

KRP 56
As always I love Migryder's missions. Playing only SP. Mig's missions always work my brain and trigger finger to the point of overload. Thanks for the many hours of battles your missions have given me. Mig's missions always work my brain and trigger finger to the point of overload. Thanks for the many hours of battles your missions have given me. I'd like to echo what my fellow migryder afficionado, KRP, said. Thanks a million mig. You've never dissappointed yet and I owe you a debt of gratitude for all these superb missions.
