MercsInc 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Share Posted September 14, 2004 (edited) I have emailed BIA and Coalescent and have yet to get back emails. Here is the problem: I got VBS today with all modules. Only Terrain 2 works and the Core. None of the other Modules work I get the error: Data File too short. Has anyone come across this problem, and/or know how to fix it? I am a little peeved I paid this much $$$ and now it wont work. My system is WAY above min. settings. My Cryptobox has a red light on it. The box is installed fine in the USB slot, just having errors when running VBS.exe for all mods Also, the .txt files on all the CDs have the same number that is my customer number. Really sounds like they're not encrypted for your customer number, data file too short does sound like there not encrypted properly. And those files are the ones you should have in your add ons folder. Have you tried opening up a scenario in miss editor? do any of the maps from terrain 1 show? "hopefully they have some sort of file they can send me to fix this, rather than wait another 20 days to get fixed stuff" Sounds like definte encryption problem on CT's part...if there the same number as ur's that means they had a problem when encrypting...e-mail them and get them to put a link for download up for you so u don't have to wait another 20 days to get it fixed....that should be no proble for them. Whether it's not providing a customer number for access to the customer forums, or encryption problems, these guys really come off as inept. Don't rest until you make them fix the problem to your satisfaction. Be upfront, forthcoming, and tell them exactly what you want them to do. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

In the meantime I will play VBS1 with just Terrain 2. Hopefully I will get my email activation for VBS resources so I can DL some cool content. The new modules will be going out overnight shipping.
