GR is crashing after Title screen.

When you say after the title screen do you mean the GR main menu where you choose a campaign or quick mission, or after the GR loading screen but before the main menu?

As strange as it sounds the IKE crash log doesn't help us help you. The IKE log however will. Could you post a copy of your IKE log?

Have you tried a manual uninstall and then reinstalled GR? I noticed in this thread you mentioned removing numerous viruses from your PC. Are you only having problems with GR or with other games/apps as well? It would also be helpful to give us the rest of the specs of your PC

- CPU (Intel, AMD, is it overclocked)

- Mainboard

- RAM

- Sound card

- Operating System (Win 9x, WinXP)

  • 2 weeks later...

I finally got it working!!!! FYI This is what I did: Initially the screen before the main menu would come up then the crash verbage Ghostrecon.exe has caused......

With a 600 MHZ emachine with 4mb of onboard video (shared) I tried setting my monitor to the lowest setting and this worked!! I was able to run GR! but once i installed DS or IT it wouldn't start I couldn't play any of them. I finally broke down and installed a pci video card(no AGP slot) and wholla! all is well. It seems my card barely runGR but DS and IT wouldn't run at all. While I was having problems with GR i was sett on buying a nex cpu but hell, if I can play GR and my ARMY paperwork I can spend the money elsewhere. Thanks for your help. I would have responded sooner had I thought I would get such a swift response. This country is great not because of the opportunities, the beaches or the cars....ITS THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy to help, although I'm not an American. ;)

You should see what GR looks like in all it's glory. You really should think about getting a new PC (build one actually, easier to upgrade when you need to).

 I concur.
