cobaka
when asked about the PC version, we were given a strict "no comment". That must mean they haven't started working on it yet

Rocky
Yeh, looks like Eurogamer were at the same event we were at yesterday. Zero Alpha can confirm what they were told, but according to what he said last night, the playstation version and X-Box version were very much different, with the dev team catering for the different style of gamer that each platform has attracted. Makk
What is the different 'style' of gamer the different console platforms attract? Just find that interesting so I'm kind of wondering.
ruggbutt
Let's hope that they realize that the PC player requires a third type of gameplay. *crosses fingers and stops stepping on cracks in the sidewalk* Edited August 25, 2004 by ruggbutt

Zantar45
Gamespot has a article on this. click Ghost Recon 2 to be two different games [uPDATE] Ubisoft confirms that the Xbox and PC version of the game will be set seven years apart from the PlayStation 2 and GameCube "prequel." When a game is released on multiple platforms, it's usually a safe bet that the PC and console version will essentially be the same game. That won't be the case, though, with Ghost Recon 2. Ubisoft confirmed to GameSpot today that it is developing two different games that will be released with the Ghost Recon title this fall. The first game is being developed for the Xbox and PC at Red Storm studios in North Carolina and will be set in 2014. The second, in development for the PlayStation 2 and GameCube at Ubisoft Shanghai, will be a "prequel" to the Xbox/PC version and will have a related storyline and characters. Beyond that, Ubisoft would say little about the Ghost Recon 2s, other than the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox versions would both have online play. So why the separate development? "We want to make the most of each platform's capabilites," a rep told GameSpot. By Tor Thorsen -- GameSpot POSTED: 08/25/04 04:21 PM PST
