Crimson 0
Click here. Although I'm not a huge fan of ATi, this spells trouble. No compition for nVidia = higher(erererer) prices. ATi might of just said scrap it, let's move onto R500. This may not be entirely true though, so lets hope not. Edited August 11, 2004 by Crimson
CR6 0
I would be skeptical of this news until we hear something official from ATI. The Inquirer just posted that the card is not cancelled, but that's still not from the horse's mouth http://theinquirer.net/?article=17808 IMHO, the only reason they would cancel it is if they have something better or cheaper to manufacture (e.g. like how they discontinued the Radeon 9700/9500 for the 9800/9600 last year). ghostie 0
I doubt they would cancel something like this.
Crimson 0
To be honest, if they do cancel it, I would not be surprised. Somehow ATi is having more problems getting their cards out than nVidia, which is hard to top.
lexsis 0
so if this card is cancelled, who else is making a PCI Express card?
Crimson 0
The X800XT PE isn't PCI-E, it's AGP. Both companies will be making PCI-E, so no worries.
