Sgt.Crocodile 0
I assigned the head.rsb as usual, exported the chr as usual and fixed the actor file to suit my needs as usual (changed names, assigned my custom camo faces, ect) I made this cool hispanic camo face, but once i start the game i got stucked with an african tango face, wich is weird cos i never messed with those, plus the chr is a IT specialist replacing c_susan_grey. I changed the materials in GR Skiner to my own camo face, but the african face was still there. I exported the chr once again...still no good. What might be happening? Here is his actor file: <VersionNumber>1.000000</VersionNumber> <ArmorLevel>2</ArmorLevel> <ActorName>Ricardo Alvarez</ActorName> <ClassName>rifleman</ClassName> <ModelFace>cfn_recon_face.rsb</ModelFace> <BlinkFaceName>cfn_recon_face_blink.rsb</BlinkFaceName> <DesertModelFace/> <DesertBlinkFace/> <JungleModelFace/> <JungleBlinkFace/> <KitPath>rifleman</KitPath> <ModelName>cfn_recon.chr</ModelName> <LOD2>cfn_recon.chr</LOD2> <LOD3>cfn_recon.chr</LOD3> cheer.... DOG-ZEBRA 0
Is it possible that you have that African tango face somewhere in one of your folders named cfn_recon_face.rsb? Maybe as an old experimental file you forgot about or something. Brazilian SF looks big, its probably hard to organize, yah? I changed the materials in GR Skiner to my own camo face, Does this mean you are not assigning the head material to head.rsb?
Sgt.Crocodile 0
Does this mean you are not assigning the head material to head.rsb? I did....i just changed it to my custom face as a test. Is it possible that you have that African tango face somewhere in one of your folders named cfn_recon_face.rsb? Maybe as an old experimental file you forgot about or something. I doubt it, but its worth trying.
Sgt.Crocodile 0
Just a small question: Wich one of these so called "head.rsb" must be applied on the chr face before export? The african face on the middle is the one stucked on my chr. When a deactivated DS, the top one was showing up (even when theres my own custom face on the actor file). The camo (top) one is the one i always use. The botton one is acutally called "head.rsb" while the others are called "Head.rsb" Can anyone solve this mistery for once? Thanks a lot
SnowFella 8
I've always used to top one on my characters when I export, didn't even know there was a file in DS named exactly the same though. And the bottom one I've never even seen before...sure that's a GR file? I don't really think it should matter what file you apply to the model aslong as it's called Head.rsb but I might be wrong about that.
Sgt.Crocodile 0
The bottom one is on the character/russian folders.
SnowFella 8
Weird indeed...why have multiple textures named exactly the same??? They would conflict pretty nicely with eachother. Just checked SOAF and there in indeed 2 textures named Head.rsb there too, one for tangos and one for the operatives. Only thing I can think of concerning that is that the dev team has used different ones while making the characters to make it look better for them. And as for your problem...I'd try re-exporting again just this time with your custom head...and then use the skinner to swap it out for Head.rsb. Might make a difference. DOG-ZEBRA 0
you should use the head.rsb from the allied folder, it has always worked for me so far. but that really doesn't explain why when you skinned the head material of your custom .chr to your custom face file that it should still show up as that Aface.rsb and not just as a non-blinking version of cfn_recon_face.rsb!?
