Streinger 0
There's something funky going on on the helmet though, looks like he's got a strap around the helmet on one side but not the other. Nah..that's just Croatian helmet canvas design for you, mate...it has the elastic band on left side only! Here's a bit of a larger pic that shows it; @Zeko....I won't even ask! Streinger 0
Apart from helmets, Croatian MPs in Ghanny also wear uniquely designed boonie hats...so here's the boonie hat character model; based on this; Edited December 5, 2004 by Streinger
Stalker 0
So cool!! The boonie looks great! BTW: The pics take ages to load... and I'm on DSL...
The_Slink 0
Nice. That boonie especially. Why do the Croatians only have a helmet strap on one side?
Streinger 0
Now that sounds like the begining of a joke..LMAO Why do the Croatians only have a helmet strap on one side? So they can tell their left side form the right one! But the real reason..er...well we are a small country and can't afford a strap that goes all around a helmet... However, there's something we can afford; sunglasses! As you can see on the last photo I posted, some soldiers wear (issued) shades. So thanks to Sgt. Croc who kindly donated his Oaklyes model, I made a new head attachment, that will be randomly destributed amongst the regulars. Ladies, I gave you the new head attachment;
Giampi 39
Streinger, the result is superior to my expectations
silent_op 0
The Oakleys are a very nice touch in deed. I'm always amazed at the attention to detail that people give to their models. You clearly are one of those people. What is the estimated release date on this mod? silent_op
The_Slink 0
Any chance of sending me some real ones? Those look good....
Streinger 0
First of all, I'm sorry for the pics taking long to load..I finaly found a free host with sufficient space, but there had to be a catch 22; their server is slow...so that acounts for a long loading time. About release date; no ETA yet. There are still a few characters to be finished, as well as vehicles and weapons. Not to mention we are still waiting for a brand new map to be finished so we can continue with the campaign scripting. And speaking of characters, here's an early render (still not exported) of the Italian operative featuring in the mod.
Streinger 0
Now, before anyone asks why he has the knee pad on his right leg only, take a look at the first two guys, and again at the last one; and also the third guy from the left here:
chiel_mic 0
all looking good to me! some fantastic stuff here!
Stalker 0
Yes, I remembered seeing some pics from US forces in afghanistan with only one kneepad too. It's a personal preferation I think
SnowFella 8
Makes prefect sense to only wear one kneepad and it makes it pretty easy to see if the shooter is right handed or left handed. All of the blokes in the above pic are aparently right handed as when you take a kneeling stance to shoot the right knee will be the one touching the ground if you are "normal" and the left will be touching the ground if you are a southpaw. Nice Chr btw Streinger!
Streinger 0
What Snow explained above can be easily seen in these screenshots- as the Italian character is right handed, when in crouch-shootin position, his right knee is touching the ground.
Streinger 0
Remember I told you Dieter Munz is featuring in this mod? Well, since I made some modifications to Nigel Tunney character, I decided to give Munz special treatment as well. No more helmet, instead the Bundeswehr red beret with paratrooper badge...ladies, I give you the new Dieter Munz... BTW, does anyone else notice he's a dead ringer to a certain governor? TRC 0
Nice touch .
Sixpence 0
Would be fine for a german Paratrooper Mod !
Streinger 0
I just got the best X-mass present that I want to share with you lot! Cobaka has been working on a new map for the mod for some time now, and has recently produced a working beta! Here are a few screenshots; screenshot 1 screenshot 2 screenshot 3 screenshot 4 screenshot 5 screenshot 6 screenshot 7 You can see there's a cammo-netted RPG/AA nest, plenty of open space, a well hiden entrance into the cave labirinth, with weapon's cache, sleeping quarters and a lot more...there are a few more goodies that I'm deliberatly holding from you...you'll have to d/l the mod to see them
Suicide Commando 0
I love that Italian operator Streinger. Very cool. The map looks really great too. Can't wait to see it lit, be quite atmospheric then. Edited December 25, 2004 by Suicide Commando

Streinger 0
How Do You Install Mods ← It's quite easy, actually...most mods come with some sort of installer that unpacks the mod directly into your GR/mods folder. If the mod is packed with win.zip, win.rar or some other file compression tool, the safest bet is to unpack the mod into your GR/mods folder, but there's always a read-me file that explains exactly how to unpack/ install the mod. Once installed, you have to start GR and activate the mod trough options/mods buttons, then select the desired mod and hit activate button.
