whoa182 0
https://www.novaworld.com/NWCommunities/top...ic_ID=503659599 Hey i play a new game called Joint operations because it provided good gameplay but i think more things could be added such as TKOTH ( team king of the hill ) AAS ( advance and secure ) / LAST MAN STANDING. meaning you have an objective other than kill but you only get 1 life. the Majority of Novalogic fans believe that There is no Community for dead is dead types and they believe there is not really a community that likes no respawns and believe that its a dumb idea... wow , they all must be quake players?> https://www.novaworld.com/NWCommunities/top...ic_ID=503659599 heres the discussion! lol

Inc_Doc 0
I can’t tell you how many people that have left our server because we play only with no respawn and no threat indicator. If you only have one life, running and gunning is not so appealing
WhiteKnight77 1
What a bunch of maroons (misspelled on purpose, think BB)!

WhiteKnight77 1
      Look, two points: 1) Post release games do not add play modes, if it has ever happened with a major title it is a rarity. 2) And this relates to the above, the reason they don't is that the slightest change to code like this brings a whole series of bugs and glitches and exploits that they would have to commit to tracking down and fixing. There are also balance and gameplay issues to consider for a change such as this and even if they made it an option tommorow then next week it would be 'Hey Nova, since this is useless or silly with perm death how about changing this'. It just adds to thier allready huge workload. Whoa182, you should point out that GR did actually implement new game modes with the expansion of DS and IT. Both Seige and domination were added after the original game came out with the release of DS. Defend, Cat and Mouse and Behemoth were added with the release of IT (some 6 months after the release of GR. These were added with no problems for the game, no bugs, no problems. With IT after the limp was removed, the outcry was tremendous to fix the game. The devs issued a patch to help rectify that. AgtSmith knows not what he speaks about. Matt03 0
The reasons people don't like it is because they know a lot of people will be playing on that type of server and take their fun out of finding a server that they can just run and gun. They don't want to have to try and look hard to find a server that is playing their type of game. All they want to do is jump into a server that has the most people and go shoot people. An option to set the number of respawns then more game types could be added onto the game. Maybe more Co-op modes like recon, defend, and stuff like that. Hell the DM modes would be better because things like Capture the Flag and all other types of game modes could be made that really don't work with respawns. This option would take this game from a 7/10 to a 9/10.
Kurtz 4
JO is catering to the arcade playing community, which is the majority of gamers. GR has a no respawn option, which is the best way to play, but, only a small % of servers use it, even dedi and clan servers set respawns. If you start a game with no respawn, no one will join or stay.
WhiteKnight77 1
For the most part, all the games I host are no respawn games. In the past when my server was up every weekend (both days and GR was THE game to play), I always had a big crowd with others wanting to get in when it filled up. NightCrawler 137
I won't play on a GR server if it has respawns on. But I do play JO and find that it's just a different game with different tactics, would love the option to have no respawns though. ruggbutt 0
Back in GR's heyday you had to search far and wide for a server w/respawns. We used to run Day Docks inf. spawns until we got about 20 in the server (which didn't take long) then we'd switch over to no respawns. We had the server packed full more often than not.
