GRT 0 Posted July 5, 2004 Share Posted July 5, 2004 ok hows THIS If this doesnt teach then you need to get more detailed. I learned how to do skins from this tutorial and it worked fine. Just take kneepads and stuff from source pictures or orgimiss/mp1/mp2 rsbs. Like i said also you need to be more detail in what you say. You want to make a character or new skin? I am only a Skinner, Storywriter, Scripter,....all what i have are a Bunch of Ideas. How to become a Sixpence ? You need 3 Things: 1. Time 2. a lot of Time 3. much Time If you have this 3 Things, you can deep dive in IGOR, Photoshop, a little bit 3DSM...so you win a lot of patience, you need it for the Try & Error Method. Sgt.Crocodile 0 Posted July 5, 2004 Share Posted July 5, 2004 Hi....welcome. First thing you need is the 3DS Meshes from Mike Schell. Once you got that, you are almost set. The most important thing in character/skin creation is creativity and imagination.....from my point of view its all about the pics found on the net, then i imagine how could i use the meshes to get it as close as i can to the picture. The rest is all Photoshop work. Most characters have mixed body parts from others characters. Some of the best modellers/skinners are GR.Net, members and we can help you anytime. Our advice is to read a bunch of tutorials and experiment.....you'll see that you can do better and coolers thing than you think. I love making chrs and i wish i had more time to do it. Cheers.....
