Very odd Spawn Problem

Recommended Posts

This problem happens with or without any mods active.

Playing online or hosting a game, when i die, i cant spawn back. Even clicking the mouse button. I can click the mouse to see other players on my team and the keyboard still works. (and yes i still have lifes left)

Very odd, happens random, sometimes not at all.

I hope this is understandable.

Thx

 Grasping at straws...

When this happens, does AI take your place? Sometimes when a player leaves a game, a soldier with the name of "A Sniper" or "A Rifleman" appears in his place. Try to click on the map when you are robbed of your respawn and roll your mouse over all your teammates - see if AI took your spot.

Also, try to keep track of your teammates' respawns by pressing the 'b' key frequently. When you are robbed of your respawn, see if someone took your place who shouldn't have had any respawns left. Maybe the game is respawning someone else in your place.

What is your in-game name? Could it be a common name that someone else has? I don't know how the game keeps track of names, but maybe it is getting confused there.

This is a wierd problem you describe, sorry if I'm not more helpful. :wall:

Thx GP, its a wierd and hard to discribe. I die, but im still in the game. As in i just lay dead. I can see action that goes by. No the computer does not put a computer player in my place.

Here is the crash log, but not sure it will help, since it really does not crash???

:P Here is the problem & fix, i found it.

I use Game Voice while i play GR. I had the F2 key set in Game Voice to talk to other players (press F2).

While playing if you hit F2 when you are about to respawn you are switched to observer mode - so i could not come back into the game alive...

I changed from the F2 key to the 2 key, problem fixed. I hope this helps someone if using Game Voice with GR...

Ked :o;)
