need to learn about vectors

Recommended Posts

I have a job interview tommorrow for a computer graphics job working with vectors in Adobe Illustrator and as I do not have any "formal" training using vectors I need to learn quickly about how to use them, I have a good idea what they are as I have used AutoCad.

Anyone help!!??

I'm desperate

I've used vectors quite a lot. "Vector images are made up of many individual, scalable objects. These objects are defined by mathematical equations rather than pixels, so they always render at the highest quality."

The hardest thing to learn (which you must learn) is changing the curve of a line. If you have Photoshop use the lines tool to check out how this works. You just pull at the the side of a corner point and it curves more. (They are called Bezier curves for some reason) This link might help: http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/vectordrawingbasics/ see the bezier link. In fact all the links are pretty useful

Good luck.
