Cush1 0
I have recently installed FNG Maps v5 on my Dedi server and they are consistantly crashing it. I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue, and if so how did you resolve it. I was wondering if it could be the cinamatic intro's not being able to be displayed from the Dedi. My reason for this thought is due to one of our members hosting the same maps on his machine and it running them just fine. Any help resolving this issue would be great. Thanks, Cush
Zeko 33
Post ike.log and ikecrash.log here after it crashes.
BornToKill 0
It crashes our dedicated server as well, on the cinematics at the start. Works fine if one of us hosts a game, so dont know what the prob is on dedicated server.
Cuchillo* 0
HI all!! same here . CHEERS. Edited June 4, 2004 by Cuchillo*
el nino foxhound 0
Cinematics do crash dedicated servers. Since you cant let the script know it runs on a dedi or on just a host (in ubi e.g) cinematics are often turned of when mode is coop (MP). This way you will only see cinematics in the SP game and not in the MP game. Go to this site http://www.fng-clan.com and download the latest updated version (i think its from the 5th of may). Maybe he fixed it, I spoke to him about this and he was aware of the problem but I cant remember if he said it was fixed in the latest update. Or you could ask him if you can change the script yourself. Cush1 0
Thanks for the feedback on this issue. All the comments were very helpful. Thanks again, Cush
Cush1 0
Ok, I DL'ed the file from the previously posted link and installed it. I followed the readme file and removed the old files as instructed. Although the file I DL'ed states it contains a patch the correct the cinamatics issue on dedicated servers my server is continuing to crash when I attempt to run a mission. I am at a total loss as to the problem so I have included my Ike log as well as the IkeCrash log. Hopefully someone in the community can tell me what is happening with these missions. Cush1 0
Just bumping this up hoping the someone can shed some light on my previous post.
el nino foxhound 0
Nice bumping. Just spoke to him again. In the campaign folder (by default in your c:\program files\red storm entertainment\ghostrecon\mods) you will find the patch which will remove all the cinematics. This should correct your problem. this is what the file inside the campaign folder is called: FNG_Maps_v5_NoCutscenePatch Good luck and let us know if you encounter any more problems.
