I was texturing a new specialist and ran into a liitle problem.

I selected the mesh and aplyed the texture on it....so far so good, but since it was a standalone helmet texture i had to fix it with the unwrap uvw.

The problem is:

The Unwrap UVW screen (where i was supposed to see the texture and resize the vertices) is all black. Now i cant texture right.... :(

Did i miss something here?

Thanks in advance.....

I always go to advanced options (in the unwrap edit screen) and de-select two boxes there (don't know what exactly they are from my head, but they're right under each other).

All I usually do is make sure the grids are turned off and make sure that the texture size is set to whatever size of texture I'm using at the time. Think my 3DSM had a tendency to set the texture size to 256x256 in the UVW Unwrap window by default and that really messes things up when you are using a 1024x1024 texture, makes it hard to line things up with the edges.

@Deleyt: knew you'd laugh at that one mate ;) I'd love to really pick your brain about 3DSM one day, probably learn more in half an hour than what I've learnt in the last year plugging away on my own! :notworthy:
