snared_gambit 0
Just finally figured out how to use these beauties. Just as easy to use as splines, but save soooo much manual smoothing. More for the high poly weps and stuff, but they're great even still! I'll follow up with a redo of an old weapon made with CVs.

I'll consider it. I don't do HTML though, so it would have to be in .doc or .swf format, unless someone wants to put it up here or somewhere else for me. I use Max 5. I don't think this kind of modeling is suited for GR though. More for organic and photo realistic modeling. I suppose you could use it for games like RvS, Far Cry, and perhaps GR2 when it comes out. For example, this blocky and unfinished Walther P99, created with CVs only so far, is a bulky 6000 polygons. Edited May 22, 2004 by snared_gambit
JTF-2 0
whatever you can do would be very appreciated. just post the basic steps here in the forum if you could. I know it's for more high polly stuff. i figure that will be ok for RvS (i also wan't to know for car modelling. it took me forever to make a car using splines) nice start on the walther btw
