Sgt.Crocodile 0
All you modders know this piece below. The Island Thunder Boonie hat. The number 1 (in red) is the ring of vertices that form thr outter of the brim. The number 2 (in blue) is the ring of vertices that form the inner of the brim and base for the head piece (cover). For the idea i have, i need a new ring of vertices between blue and red (in the green area). Now....HOW DA HELL DO I DO IT? Is it possible? Please...step by step in a gentle way..... (with pics if possible ) Thanks in advance....
Stewy 0
If someone knows how to do it - could you please perhaps consider modelling an Aussie style bush hat - we wear our a bit differently to the Yanks...
sleeper 0
Just select the polys and use slice and place your slice plane where you want it to slice. Slice is in the standard edit mesh modifier I believe. *you may want to move the red vertices down a little first then just move them back up after you slice Edited May 15, 2004 by sleeper
cobaka 0
You could try convert to editable patch, then select the brim polys and subdivide. But this nearly triples the number of polys for the hat.
SnowFella 8
Easiest way to me would just be to take the boonie as it is, go into sublevel-edge and use the "cut" tool. Just walk along the edges where you want the new vertices to be and make a cut. Would have to do this both from the top and bottom though. 2 minutes of work using this way. Does take the polygon count up to around 196 polygons though, from 92 for the original boonie
