OK, I ordered my copy of PainKiller yesterday. The delivery option I chose was next day delivery.

They emailed at 09:32 this moring stating:

"We are pleased to advise that your order, ********/1, is now being despatched from our distribution centre via Lynx Express and will be with you shortly."

[note: I edited out nearly all of the order code for security reasons]

So in the afternoon I'm still waiting....so I check order tracking:

"Your order has been dispatched via Lynx Express on 13 May 2004."

IF THAT'S THE CASE, WHY HAVEN'T I RECEIVED IT YET?

It also says:

"Immediate (order numbers ending in /1): This means that the item is in stock in our distribution centre and can be despatched to you right away, via your chosen method of shipping."

[FYI my order number ends in /1]

So, is it lost in the post? Will it arrive tomorrow (despite the fact they said it would arrive today)? What's going on?

Well it's 21: 23 right now, surely it wouldn't like 12 hours to get to me? When I pre-ordered Vietcong: Fist Alpha off them back in January, it arrived on day of release at, IIRC, 17:15 PM. I pre-ordered that 2 days before release. They said it would arrive on day of release and it did.

Maybe I'll ring 'em up in the morning....

....And I was looking forward to being sentenced to serve in pain somewhere between Heaven and Hell in PainKiller. Oh well....

EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, it was 00:15 when I placed the order....so that wasn't yesterday at all. That was 00:15 on 13 May 2004. So maybe they will send it tomorrow.... If so, why email me to say they've dispatched it today?
